Mirador de Dalt Vila
Ibiza Town, Spain

The verdict
A twelve-room mansion inside fortified Dalt Vila, intimate enough to feel like a private address and polished enough for a celebration. The trade-off for history and walkability is a small pool and none of the facilities of a coastal resort.
Two- or three-night city stays, anniversaries and travellers who value personal service.
Your priority is beach access, a large spa or a resort-sized pool.
Use the central location to explore Dalt Vila early in the morning, before day visitors arrive.
The rooms
Only twelve individually composed rooms and suites, with period architecture, parquet floors and a traditional, polished feel rather than a fashion-led one.
The setting
Inside Ibiza's UNESCO-listed upper town, close to the cathedral and old walls, with the port and lower town reached on foot down steep lanes.
The food
Breakfast runs late and the intimate restaurant covers polished Mediterranean cooking; Ibiza Town's broadest choice of tables is outside the door.
Getting there
About 15 minutes from the airport. Access inside Dalt Vila is restricted, so use the hotel's valet or arrange the transfer in advance.
Good to know
The compact pool is for cooling off, not a resort day. Cobblestones and gradients make the setting less convenient for limited mobility.
