The verdict
A 185-hectare estate inside the Llevant peninsula's natural park, where a restored possessió and stone casitas sit among vineyards, olive trees and wild hills. It holds a MICHELIN Key and is one of the island's most complete retreats for doing very little, very well.
Wellness trips, long slow stays and couples who want nature rather than a beach club.
You want to walk to a town, a beach or a lively bar: everything here is a drive, and that is the point.
Book one of the five casitas with a private pool for real privacy, and keep a morning for the undeveloped coves of the natural park — Cala Torta is the nearest.
The rooms
Thirty-four places to stay: eight suites in the main house, Sa Possessió, and twenty-one casitas of around 115 m² with private terraces, five of them with their own pool, plus larger houses. Interiors are pale, natural and quiet: lime, wood and linen.
The setting
Near Artà, in the north-east of the island, on 185 hectares within the Parc Natural de la Península de Llevant. The farm grows organic vines, olives, fruit and native xeixa wheat; the park's coves and Artà's old town are a short drive away.
The food
The restaurant cooks seasonal Mediterranean food with produce from the estate's organic garden and farm. Half and full board are offered, which makes sense given how far you are from other restaurants.
Getting there
About 1 hour 15 minutes by car from Palma airport. A car is essential.
Good to know
Adults only, from 14. Beyond the spa, the estate runs wellness retreats and treatments such as Watsu; you can join them or ignore them.
