The verdict
An aristocratic summer house from 1777 among ancient oaks, just outside Ciutadella, now a quiet hotel of around twenty-five rooms with a long pool, gardens and a restaurant. It won a MICHELIN Key in 2025 and gives you the countryside eight minutes from the old town — the best of both halves of the west.
Couples who want a rural estate and a pool, with Ciutadella's restaurants and the western coves a short drive away.
You want the sea outside the door or a walk into town: it is a country house, and you will drive.
Ask for a ground-floor room with its own garden, and drive to Ciutadella for dinner, then back to silence.
The rooms
About twenty-five rooms in four categories, from standard doubles to a 53 m² terrace suite, in natural stone, wood and woven fibres. Ground-floor rooms have a private garden; first-floor rooms have a terrace.
The setting
On the Ronda Nord just outside Ciutadella, on an estate of centuries-old holm and cork oaks and dry-stone walls. The old town is about eight minutes by car and the sea about five kilometres away.
The food
The restaurant serves lunch and dinner with produce from the island, on a terrace under the oaks. Ciutadella, with Menorca's liveliest restaurant scene, is close enough for every other night.
Getting there
About 45 minutes by car from Menorca airport. A car is needed.
