The verdict

An Art Deco apartment building of the 1940s on Campos Elíseos, facing the Jardín República del Líbano, turned in September 2022 into 12 suites that work like private flats. The design team — All Arquitectura, Amass & G and AvroKO — worked in deep greens, copper and wood around a white spiral stair, and hung the walls with Mexican art. There is no restaurant, but every floor has a shared kitchen and sitting room, and a covered rooftop over the trees. It holds one MICHELIN Key.

Best for

Longer stays and small groups who want space, a kitchen and Polanco's restaurants at the door.

Skip if

You want a hotel bar and a dining room downstairs: here breakfast, mezcal at five and private chefs on request are the whole food offer.

Insider tip

Book a table at one of Polanco's restaurants for dinner and keep the rooftop for the mezcal hour, served from five in the afternoon.

The rooms

Twelve suites, from the Park Studios and Polanco Suites to the Campos Residence, with a soaking tub, Bisazza tiles and its own chef's kitchen and dining room. The Ariosto Residence joins two suites and a social space into a two-bedroom flat of more than 150 square metres.

The setting

On Campos Elíseos, in Polanco, opposite the Jardín República del Líbano and close to Parque Lincoln and the edge of Chapultepec Park. Each floor has a social space with a kitchen — La Sala, El Estudio, La Biblioteca — and La Azotea, the covered rooftop, looks over the trees.

The food

Breakfast, seasonal and included, is served in the Lounge or in the suite; there are light bites in the afternoon and a selection of artisanal mezcals — the agave spirit of Oaxaca and beyond — from five o'clock. Private chefs and market tours can be arranged.

Getting there

About 30 to 45 minutes by car from Mexico City's international airport (MEX), depending on traffic. The hotel arranges private transfers.

Good to know

There is a gym open from 7am to 10pm; massages and facials are given in the suites. The rooftop takes private events of up to 80 guests, so ask whether one is booked during your stay.
