The verdict

The rooms
24 suites only, spread through the restored masia and garden wings — high ceilings, natural stone, oak and linen, and most with a private terrace or patio facing the vineyards. Entry-level suites are already generous; the top categories add plunge pools and wraparound Priorat views. Finish and housekeeping are full Relais & Châteaux standard.
The setting
A five-century estate on a hillside outside Torroja del Priorat, dead centre of the DOQ — terraced llicorella vineyards fall away on every side and the serrated Montsant range closes the horizon. The infinity pool and garden terraces are built for that view; sunset here is the whole show.
The food
Vinum, the flagship restaurant, cooks a refined, produce-led Catalan menu built around one of the deepest Priorat cellars anywhere, with a more casual all-day option and bars for everything in between. Wine is the house religion — tastings run in the estate's own cellar tasting room.
Getting there
About 45 minutes from Reus airport and roughly two hours from Barcelona, the last stretch on the DOQ's winding vineyard roads. A car is essential — it's also the key that unlocks Gratallops, Porrera and the region's cellar doors. Free parking on site.
Good to know
Opened in 2023 and still the benchmark stay of the region. Book well ahead for harvest season (September–October), when the Priorat is at its most atmospheric — and its busiest. Summers are seriously hot; the pool and thick stone walls earn their keep.
