Central Marbella is the easiest first base because the old town, promenade, beach and restaurants are walkable. Choose the Golden Mile for resort grounds, or the western coast when golf and privacy matter more than town access.
Is Marbella or Sotogrande better?
Marbella offers more restaurants, shopping and nightlife and works without a car. Sotogrande, Casares and La Alcaidesa are quieter, stronger for golf and closer to Gibraltar and the Cádiz coast.
