Should you stay near Marbella or on the Costa de la Luz?
Choose Marbella for full-service hotels, beach clubs, golf and easy luxury. Choose the Costa de la Luz for Atlantic beaches, Vejer and a smaller-scale, slower stay.
When is southern Andalusia warm but less crowded?
May, June, September and early October usually offer the best balance. The Atlantic side is windier and often feels cooler than Marbella.
Do you need a car for these hotels?
A transfer can be enough for a resort stay around Marbella. A car is strongly recommended for Vejer, the Cádiz beaches and multi-stop coastal trips.
